I prefer science fiction, fantasy, and horror without the spaceships, dragons, and zombies.

Fool Moon (The Dresden Files, Book 2)

Fool Moon - Jim Butcher This was certainly better than the first book in the series, good enough for me to consider the third installment. But if Dresden continues to do stupid things just to get the plot moving along, I'll have to give up on this series. Also, some of the dialogue is a bit to cute for my taste, and much of the attempts at humor fall flat. I do, however, enjoy the non-stop action and the somewhat unique take on magic and the supernatural in these books.
